Dr. Seuss vs Shakespeare
It saddens me to see two of my greatest literary influences throw down, but, well… entertaining. Another epic rap battle from the awesome nice peter
And yes, we’ve featured him before

Kinda great. And making me jonez for some airplane tickets (since I recognized more than a few of the backgrounds they were in from my own wanders).
3 guys, 44 days, 11 countries, 18 flights, 38 thousand miles, an exploding volcano, 2 cameras and almost a terabyte of footage
You can check out there other two, Learn and Eat on their vimeo page, but I think I like Move best.
Cute and well animated how to cook like Hitchcock short in cookbook form. Lots of “in” references to the films. Great animation though felt the “story” could have been better but pretty impressive for a student project.
This is fantastic. Hilarious short which is ostensibly an ad for Red Giant a video effects package (hell, I’d buy it on the strength of this vid alone.). So great if you can actually do this all with the package. Check it out.
Still working on getting the script written and looking at getting a HeroPro for the short shooting next week.
Lurv this. I think all cities need moar of this.
Also, love the leap of faith while the oblivious passerbys walk over the chasm.

Anyone can upload. Few can direct.
Love that the Canadian Worldwide Short Film festival (in Toronto! May 31 - June 5) had three directors take the (annoying) Charlie Bit My Finger viral video and put their own special spin on it (if you’ve never seen it ).
Pretty impressive actually for 1m40s.
Another incredible panoramic timelapse, this time from Québec-based Dominic Boudreault (go Canada!). Beautiful footage of old stomping grounds in NA and nature. Darken the room, full screen this on HD and turn up the volume.

What are the fifty most important machines to life as we know it?
Jucobowski sorted that out after his tractor kept breaking. He published open source blueprints that could allow you to make these things for a fraction of the cost and that should last a lifetime, not be built for obsolescence. Then people started helping him refine. He’s constructed eight of the fifty designs and gives this amazingly inspirational TED talk on unleashing human potential worldwide. Global maker culture for good. Open-sourced blueprints for civilization and a global village construction set So inspirational.
